About Mr. Sticky's

Mr. Sticky's Inc. and the patented “EXTREMELY ADDICTIVE” recipe was originally founded by Phil Poorman in the year 2000 as a Food Truck that became wildly popular at the Bloomsburg Fair and various other fairs and special events PA and NJ. They eventually added their flagship store in Williamsport PA, then a second corporate location in Lancaster, and then began to expand into franchises and shipping with hopes to spread nationwide!

As the first Stand-Alone store in the Mr. Sticky’s Franchise Group, our Pottstown location (officially licensed as “Mr. Sticky’s of S.E. PA”) celebrated its grand opening on November 20th, 2021, offering the same great homemade sticky buns and cinnamon buns as the original corporate stores in Williamsport and Lancaster PA. Right away, the Pottstown store showed its commitment to excellence with a professionally trained Barista crew and a custom-designed signature coffee blend. Since opening, we’ve also added several new coffee, latte, espresso and cold brew flavors and combinations. Many of our customers say that we've got the best coffee they've ever had!

On the Bakery side, we also very quickly began to innovate new flavors and variations on Mr Sticky's classics. Each month, we offer a new variety of specialty cinnamon bun toppings, eclairs, the "Stickywich" breakfast sandwich, and our award-winning Bananas Foster Bread Pudding. To bring a little joy to those who can’t eat traditional baked goods, we’ve also developed an original Gluten-free sticky bun recipe that has literally brought long-suffering diet-restricted customers to tears! (Stay tuned for our Sugar Free option as well!)

As the Mr. Sticky's brand continues to grow, we hope to continue developing new and exciting variations on the classics. Mr. Sticky's Pottstown also proudly provides training and internship opportunities to culinary students from local vocational and community college programs.

About Chef Matt

Matthew Misciagna is our Head Baker and President of Mr. Sticky's in Pottstown. He has over 50 years of culinary experience. (Wait... what? How is that possible when he’s only 50-something?)

Formally educated at The Restaurant School of Philadelphia, Matthew’s true education started at the tender age of 3 years old, making homemade bakery items in his grandmother’s kitchen. Often sneaking out of his parents’ home to run down the street to Grandma’s house, by the time he was in elementary school, Matthew’s early creations were being distributed to neighbors who clamored for more!

With his own list of repeat customers, special orders, and home deliveries, young “Matteo” (as Grandma Misciagna called him) was well on his way to pursuing his lifelong passion. And yes, sticky buns, even then, were on the menu!

Fast-forward after decades of food industry experience in establishments ranging from fast food to five-star restaurants - and four kids later - we are proud to bring together the best of what everyone has to offer. From our founder’s phenomenal Sticky Bun recipe, to Sue’s Eclairs, to various innovative new toppings and flavors from our in-house bakers and culinary trainees, you never know what will we will come up with next!
